~Fall Morning~

Hello World!

My latest ACEO;

~Fall Morning~ a Watercolor by Linda Hoxie

I used back lighting on this watercolor, masking off the trees, path and bench first, then putting in the light in the background, use a technique of "flicking" the paints into the trees off a stiff paintbrush for a more realistic affect of fall leaves.

I am offering free shipping within the U.S. on this beauty!

Thanks for looking!

Sold at exhibition

Had some good news on Tuesday I have sold two of my paintings from the Summer Exhibition, have been busy this week working on a commission, a totally new subject for me so quite a challenge. This is one of the paintings sold, a little sad as I liked this one but having only completed it recently it hadn't even spent any time on my wall. I guess I shall have to create another train painting.

Old Wooden Indian: Jacksonville, Oregon. Painting.

My latest watercolor:

It's an old statue - wooden Indian, in the Western town of Jacksonville, Oregon. This town is used a lot for old western movies, so this probably has been photographed or filmed many hundreds of times.
