Rainbow Lorikeet ACEO in acrylics

 

I love the colours of the Rainbow Lorikeet.  This one was visiting the Honey Gem plant that is in flower at the moment in my back yard .  I managed to take a few good reference photos.

Rainbow Lorikeets are found across the northern and eastern coastal areas of Australia.  They measure 28 - 32 cm in length and weigh on average 133 grams.

Rainbow Lorikeet measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on 300 gsm smooth Arches Watercolour paper.
