Boat Study afterJMW Turner Pen & Ink Watercolor
This is a rendition of JMW Turner's Boat Study 1827-30. One of my favorite masters! His original work was rendered in Ink & Wash, and I strove to make my painting in keeping with his loose pen work and transparent watercolor washes. Size of this piece is 5 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches.

Topo Gigio
"Topo Gigio on his Violin" 4x6 mixed media
This was one of two commissions on Topo Gigio. He was a very cute puppet that came on at the end of the Ed Sullivan Show and he usually asked for a kiss from Ed. He's about the cutest TV character I've ever seen (I didn't know of him until my client asked me). My two commissions are both being offered as prints on my Ebay Click Here

My Turtledove
Finally and SFA from me! This is my 4x6 watercolor entry for January's Nibblefest Art Contest. The theme was: combine two animals or more. I wanted something happy to look at but I am not a surrealist which I sort of think this is, so i struggled a bit trying to determine how to execute it. And the result is a multi-layered watercolor which is kind of interesting to look at, I thought :)

Another record broken
Francis Joyon has broken Dame Ellen MacArthur's record for sailing singlehanded round the world, and by a massive margin. She was one of the first to congratulate him showing the cameraderie amongst this band of intrepid adventurers. This was a painting that I did to commemorate her incredible achievement at the time. The original understandably no longer being available, I do have a number of Limited Edition prints in my Tazbar store. or you can visit my website
It was still an incredible achievement by a plucky little lady.

Country Quilt Washline
Although I'm now a city girl, I long for days gone by when I spent many happy hours at my aunt's farm in the country. And much of my work comes from memories of those nostalgic scenes.
Here's one of my recent pieces. It's a 5" x 7" watercolor depicting a country quilt on the washline, just as I remember it.

Appaloosa Rogue - 5x7" Horse - Rogue Valley, Oregon - Watercolor
This is my most recent SFA other than ACEOs (always 2.5x3.5"). It's a watercolor 5x7". There is approximately 8 hours work or more in this.
I loved doing it, but got tedious near the end.
